our owner saw one of their first lana del rey concerts here. hollywood forever is a cemetery and a cultural space: outdoor films, concerts and events in the masonic lodge. see what's on before heading over, and if you visit outside an event, remember that this is also an active place of remembrance. 6000 santa monica blvd.
antico nuovo, for pasta and the ice cream you nearly missed
this is the farther-out dinner pick, on beverly boulevard rather than right next to our shop. our owner rates the pasta among la's best, and says the ice cream is slept on. the menu currently has pastas from ricotta tortelli to beef-cheek pappardelle, then house ice cream with flavors like honeycomb and pistachio crunch. don't order just one course and accidentally skip dessert. 4653 beverly blvd.
